Daily Dose of Happiness / Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This policy applies to consumers in Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, and to anyone whose consumer health data is processed in those states. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Who we are: Lioverse UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Karl-Arnold-Straße 31, 52525 Heinsberg, Germany, info@lioverse.de.
“Consumer health data” means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status. In Daily Dose of Happiness, this is:
| Category | Specific data |
|---|---|
| Emotion check-ins | the emotion you choose (for example happy, calm, sad, anxious, lonely, exhausted), its intensity and the date |
| Patterns over time | your check-in history and the weekly reflection derived from it |
| Reflections and journaling | gratitude notes, backpack notes, journey answers, answers to creator questions, letters to your future self and your reflections on them |
| Inferences | content selected for you based on your recent emotion (for example a calming exercise after an “anxious” check-in). We do not create health scores, diagnoses or risk predictions. |
We do not collect precise location, biometric data, genetic data, data about reproductive or sexual health services, or data from health devices or wearables. We do not set up geofences.
We collect consumer health data only from you, when you enter it in the App. We do not buy it or receive it from third parties.
We use consumer health data only to provide the features you ask for:
We do not use consumer health data for advertising, marketing, profiling for other purposes, selling, or training AI models.
We collect consumer health data only after you give affirmative consent on a separate screen in the App that explains what we collect, why, and how you can withdraw. We do not share consumer health data for purposes other than providing the features above; if we ever wanted to, we would ask for a separate consent first. We will never sell consumer health data.
We share consumer health data only with this processor, which acts under a contract and on our instructions:
| Recipient | Purpose | Data |
|---|---|---|
| netcup GmbH, Karlsruhe, Germany | hosting our servers, database and backups | encrypted check-ins and reflections as stored |
No other service provider receives your consumer health data. In particular, Google (Firebase), Apple, RevenueCat, Brevo and ClickUp do not receive it. Push notifications never include your emotions or texts. We may disclose data where required by law, for example in response to a valid court order; where permitted, we will tell you first.
You have the right to:
How to exercise your rights: in the App under Settings › Privacy & data (download your data, delete single entries or all check-ins, withdraw consent, delete account), on our privacy requests page, or by email to info@lioverse.de with the subject “Consumer health data request”.
We respond within 45 days. Where the law allows, we may extend this once by another 45 days and will tell you why. Requests are free of charge up to twice a year. We verify your identity in a way that fits the App: for anonymous use, the request must come from the App on your device; for accounts, we verify using your email address.
If we decline your request in whole or in part, you can appeal within a reasonable time after our decision, in the App or by email to info@lioverse.de with the subject “Appeal”. We respond in writing within 45 days and explain our decision. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Attorney General of your state:
We keep consumer health data until you delete it, withdraw consent or delete your account. After deletion, it is removed from our live systems immediately and from backups within 30 days.
Consumer health data is encrypted at application level with a key unique to your account, in addition to encryption in transit. Access is restricted to authorised personnel who need it to operate the service. Administrators use two-factor authentication, and administrative access to user data is logged.
We will post any change to this policy here with a new effective date. If a change affects how we collect or share consumer health data, we will ask for your consent again in the App before the change applies.
